The Indiana Laborers' Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee will make applications avaiable for apprenticeship training at our office beginning April 2, 2012 from 8am - 11am and from 1:00pm - 3:00pm daily until further notice. 

All applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

1.  Not less than 18 years of age (Proof of age will be required)

2.  Physically able to perform the work of the trade

3.  A reading, understanding, writing and communicating ability as would enable the applicant to perform the tasks of the Construction Craft Laborer in a safe manner and comprehend the subject matter taught in related instruction.

4.  If applicant has not completed high school or its equivalent, the applicant must, if accepted into the program, pursue his or her GED within the first year of the program.

5.  Possess a current driver's license

6.  Be eligible to work in the United States

7.  Drug testing will be required.

 You must bring with you (copies will not be made in our office) a copy of:

 1.  Birth Certicate

2.  Valid Driver's License

3.  Social Security Card

4.  H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.

5.  DD 214, if applicable 

Applications will not be accepted without the above information.

THE ARSC/BASIC ORIENTATION TRAINING
The ARSC/Basic Orientation training offered by USI is required by several powerhouses and large industrial facilities. If you do not have this training or your annual refresher is due, call 812-464-1989 and schedule yours today. We will need a copy of your card and any refresher documentation.

 

INDIANA DISTRICT COUNCIL VOTES TO INCREASE UNION DUES
January 2012 working dues will be 5% and Retiree monthly dues will be $10.00

 

ANNUAL DRUG SCREEN

AFTER YOU INITIALLY QUALIFY FOR INSURANCE...
HEALTH INSURANCE
After you initially qualify for insurance you will need to work a minimum of 260 hours in a qualification period to maintain your insurance. Hours worked is calculated as below:
